The in 1981 founded wine-growing club of Vinschgau (VWV) promotes the wine-growing production in the valley. Since 1995, 7 white wines and 2 red wine sorts are accepted with the controlled quality mark "Südtirol Vinschgau". In the meantime 1/3 of the arable area was registered by the chamber of commerce Bozen as a DOC-area. The club in the meanwhile has over 246 members. The VWV tries always to help the farmers by giving advises or by coordinating. The VWV therefore organizes:  Conferences, seminars and teaching excursions every year  They get goods for plantation for the farmers  They make excursions to the vineyards  They give awards for the nicest and best maintained cellars or vineyards and for  very good wines etc.  They organize of 3-4 wine-tastings of the village with a professional discussion on the wines.  Since 1983 - with one exception - a regional wine-tasting of Vinschgau is held each year for presenting our wines also to a more numerous public.
